5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This Site uses cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, local storage objects, and other similar tracking technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to enhance your shopping experience, analyze Site usage, remember your preferences, and deliver targeted advertising where applicable.

We use the following categories of Cookies on the Site:

  • Strictly necessary Cookies: These Cookies are essential for the basic functionality of the Site, including enabling you to add items to your cart, complete purchases, and log into your account. Without these Cookies, the Site cannot function properly;
  • Performance and analytics Cookies: These Cookies collect anonymous information about how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are visited most often and whether users encounter error messages. This information helps us improve the Site;
  • Functionality Cookies: These Cookies allow the Site to remember your preferences, such as language settings, previously viewed products, and saved addresses, to provide a more personalized experience;
  • Marketing and advertising Cookies: These Cookies track your browsing activity to deliver advertisements that are relevant to your interests and to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

You may control your Cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept Cookies, to delete existing Cookies, or to be prompted before a Cookie is stored. Please note that disabling strictly necessary Cookies will prevent you from using certain features of the Site, including the shopping cart and checkout process.

For users in jurisdictions with specific Cookie consent requirements (such as residents of California), we will present you with a Cookie consent notice through which you can manage your preferences for non-essential Cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and to comply with our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations. The specific retention period depends on the purpose for which information was collected, the nature of our relationship with you, and applicable legal requirements.

As a general framework: (a) account information is retained for the duration of your account’s existence plus a reasonable period following account closure to address any residual inquiries or claims; (b) order and transaction records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years from the date of the transaction, in compliance with financial record-keeping laws; (c) customer communications are retained for a period sufficient to allow us to address follow-up inquiries and to demonstrate compliance with applicable law; and (d) marketing preferences and opt-out records are retained indefinitely to honor your preferences and to demonstrate compliance.

When your personal information is no longer needed and no legal obligation requires us to retain it further, we will securely delete or anonymize it in accordance with our data disposal procedures. Anonymous or aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for business analysis purposes.

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain information. Requests for deletion can be submitted to legal@golvero.com. We will respond to deletion requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request to ensure we are disclosing, correcting, or deleting information to or for the correct individual. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

Some of these rights are not absolute and may be subject to limitations where we have a legal obligation or legitimate interest that overrides your right. Where we are unable to fulfill a request in full, we will explain the reason for the limitation.

8. Data Security

Golvero and ValTerLuX DynastY INC. implement a multi-layered security program designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Our security measures include: industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers; PCI-DSS compliant payment processing through certified third-party processors; access controls and authentication requirements for all staff who access customer data; regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing; and secure data storage with encryption at rest for sensitive data fields.

Despite our best efforts to maintain a secure environment, no method of electronic transmission or data storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security measures. By using the Site and providing us with your personal information, you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk. In the event of a data security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulatory authorities as required by law.

You also have a responsibility to help protect your account security. You should use a strong, unique password for your Golvero account; never share your login credentials with any third party; log out of your account when using shared or public devices; and notify us immediately at legal@golvero.com if you suspect any unauthorized activity on your account. We will never ask you for your password via email or telephone.

9. Children's Privacy

This Site is intended solely for use by individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. Golvero does not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13) in the United States, or under any other applicable minimum age required by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. The Site is not directed at, and we do not knowingly target or market to, children.

If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under the applicable minimum age without verifiable parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our systems. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information to us without your consent, please contact us immediately at legal@golvero.com, and we will investigate and take appropriate corrective action.

We encourage parents and guardians to actively supervise their children’s online activity. Users under the age of eighteen (18) may not purchase products through this Site and should not attempt to register for an account or complete any transaction without the direct supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices, our business operations, applicable laws, or for other legitimate operational reasons. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes that significantly affect your privacy rights or how we use your personal information, we will provide additional notice through reasonable means, which may include posting a prominent notice on the Site or sending you an email to the address on file.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the revised Privacy Policy, you must stop using the Site and may request deletion of your account and personal information as described in Section 7 above.

12. Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals to websites, indicating that you do not want your online activity tracked. Because there is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, this Site does not currently alter its data collection and use practices in response to DNT browser settings.

However, you may limit certain tracking by managing your cookie preferences as described in Section 5 of this Privacy Policy, or by using browser extensions or privacy tools designed to limit cross-site tracking. If a universal DNT standard is adopted that becomes applicable to us, we will update this Privacy Policy to reflect our compliance.

13. Social Media Features

The Site may include social media features such as share buttons or follow buttons from platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, Pinterest, or TikTok. These features are operated by third-party social media companies and are subject to those companies’ privacy policies, not this Privacy Policy. When you interact with a Social Media Feature on our Site, the third-party social media company may collect your IP address, browser information, and other data about your visit, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly.

Your interactions with Social Media Features are governed by the privacy policies of the companies providing those features. Golvero and ValTerLuX DynastY INC. are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party social media platform. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any social media platform before interacting with its features on our Site.

14. International Data Transfers

Golvero is operated from and primarily serves customers in the United States. If you are accessing the Site from outside the United States, please be aware that your personal information will be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States. United States data protection laws may differ from the laws of your home country and may not offer the same level of protection as the laws of other jurisdictions.

By using this Site and providing your personal information, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and to the processing of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you are a resident of a jurisdiction with specific cross-border data transfer requirements (such as the EU, UK, or Switzerland), please contact us at legal@golvero.com for information about the legal mechanisms we use to facilitate such transfers in compliance with applicable law.

15. Email Marketing and Opt-Out

With your consent or where permitted by applicable law, we may send you promotional emails about new products, special offers, events, and other information. You can opt out of receiving promotional emails from us at any time by: (a) clicking the “Unsubscribe” or “Manage Preferences” link included at the bottom of every marketing email; or (b) contacting us directly at legal@golvero.com with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line.

Even after you opt out of promotional emails, we will continue to send you transactional and operational emails that are necessary to manage your account and fulfill your orders, such as order confirmations, shipping notifications, password reset emails, and important account security alerts. These transactional emails are not subject to opt-out because they are integral to the services you have requested from us.

We will process your opt-out request within ten (10) business days. If you continue to receive promotional emails after this period, please check your spam or junk folder and contact us if the issue persists.

16. New York and California Privacy Rights

As a company operated by ValTerLuX DynastY INC., a New York-registered corporation, we comply with all applicable New York privacy laws, including the SHIELD Act (Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security Act), which requires us to implement and maintain reasonable data security measures and to notify affected individuals in the event of a data breach involving their private information.

To exercise any of these rights, California residents may submit a verifiable consumer request to legal@golvero.com.

For California “Shine the Light” law purposes, we do not share personal information with third parties for those parties’ own direct marketing purposes without your prior consent. Residents of other states including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Texas may also have privacy rights under applicable state law; we will process requests from residents of those states in accordance with the applicable statute.
